For the Chicken Skewers:
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Wooden or metal skewers
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

- Sesame seeds
- Crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes if using bamboo. Preheat grill to medium-high or oven to 425°F.
- Thread chicken pieces evenly onto skewers, leaving small spaces between each piece.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar.
- In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water. Add to the sauce and simmer 2–4 minutes until thick and glossy.
- Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, or bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping once.
- Brush generously with honey garlic sauce during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Let rest for 2–3 minutes. Garnish if desired and serve with extra sauce.
Notes
- For extra caramelization, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breast for juicier skewers.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Double the sauce if you like extra for dipping.
