Description

These Spicy Watermelon Fries are a fun and refreshing summer snack made with juicy watermelon sticks coated in chili lime seasoning and served with a creamy lime yogurt dipping sauce. Ready in just 10 minutes, they’re perfect for parties, picnics, BBQs, or healthy snacking.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Watermelon Fries

  • 1 mini watermelon, sliced into 1-inch sticks with the rind removed
  • 3 tablespoons chili lime seasoning (such as Tajín)

For the Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
  • ¼ cup full-fat canned coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons light agave
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Zest of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Slice the mini watermelon into 1-inch sticks and remove the rind to resemble French fries.
  2. Arrange the watermelon fries on a serving platter.
  3. Sprinkle the chili lime seasoning evenly over the watermelon sticks.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, coconut milk, agave, lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  5. Transfer the dipping sauce to a serving bowl.
  6. Serve immediately with the watermelon fries and enjoy while chilled.

Notes

  • Chill the watermelon before slicing for the most refreshing flavor.
  • Add the chili lime seasoning just before serving to keep it from dissolving into the fruit.
  • Greek yogurt creates a thicker dipping sauce.
  • Adjust the amount of chili lime seasoning to suit your preferred spice level.
  • Leftover dipping sauce can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
