  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red chili pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  2. Mix thoroughly using clean hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  4. Preheat a grill, griddle, or skillet to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the patties on the hot cooking surface and cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping as needed.
  6. Cook until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Remove from heat and allow the burgers to rest for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Serve on burger buns, lettuce wraps, or with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers reach 165°F.
  • For extra Mediterranean flavor, serve with tzatziki sauce, cucumber slices, or additional feta cheese.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
