Description

This Grilled Chicken Caesar Burger is a fresh twist on classic burger night! Juicy grilled chicken patties are seasoned with Parmesan, garlic, and creamy Caesar dressing, then served on toasted brioche buns with crisp lettuce, shaved Parmesan, red onion, and extra Caesar dressing. It’s an easy, family-friendly recipe that’s perfect for weeknight dinners, summer cookouts, or backyard barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Burgers

  • 1⅓ pounds 93% lean ground chicken
  • ½ medium yellow onion, finely grated and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely grated or minced
  • ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup Caesar dressing
  • 2 finely chopped anchovy fillets or 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Nonstick cooking spray

For Serving

  • 4 brioche buns, toasted
  • Extra Caesar dressing
  • Leaf lettuce or romaine lettuce
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Shaved Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Grate the onion and squeeze out as much moisture as possible using paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated onion, garlic, Parmesan cheese, Caesar dressing, anchovy paste (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into 1-inch-thick burger patties.
  4. Place the patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 20 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Meanwhile, preheat the grill to medium-high heat (450–500°F). Clean and lightly oil the grill grates with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Remove the patties from the freezer and press a shallow indentation into the center of each burger.
  7. Grill for 6–7 minutes per side with the lid closed until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. If adding cheese, place it on the burgers during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  9. Toast the brioche buns.
  10. Assemble each burger with Caesar dressing, lettuce, grilled chicken, red onion, shaved Parmesan, and the top bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the chicken mixture or the burgers may become tough.
  • Chilling the patties helps them hold their shape on the grill.
  • Always cook ground chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Toasting the buns keeps them from becoming soggy.
  • Skip the anchovies if preferred—they simply enhance the Caesar flavor.
  • Leftover patties keep well for meal prep.
