Description

This easy Fried Pickle Dip combines tangy dill pickles, creamy sour cream, ranch seasoning, and crispy toasted panko breadcrumbs for the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer. Inspired by classic fried pickles, this creamy dip delivers all the bold flavor and crunch you love in a quick, no-fuss recipe that’s perfect for parties, game days, potlucks, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (1.5-ounce) packet ranch seasoning
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • Fresh dill, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the panko breadcrumbs and toast for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown.
  3. Reserve a small amount of the toasted panko and chopped pickles for topping.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining toasted panko, chopped pickles, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and pickle juice.
  5. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  7. Top with the reserved chopped pickles, toasted panko, and fresh dill if serving immediately.
  8. Serve with potato chips, crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For the best texture, add the reserved panko topping just before serving.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving for even more flavor.
  • Dill pickles provide the classic fried pickle taste, but spicy pickles work well too.
  • If making ahead, store the dip without toppings and garnish just before serving.
  • Greek yogurt can replace part of the sour cream for a lighter version.
