-
1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Caramelized Onion Aioli
-
2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
1 tablespoon brown sugar
-
½ cup mayonnaise
-
2 tablespoons sour cream
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
-
½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Bowl Assembly
-
6 cups mixed greens or chopped romaine lettuce
-
2 large tomatoes, diced (or 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved)
-
1 large cucumber, diced
-
½ large red onion, thinly sliced
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
½ cup dill pickle slices
-
¼ cup fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
-
Caramelize the onions: Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and brown sugar, stirring to coat. Cook slowly for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deep golden and jammy.
-
Prepare the beef: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Combine gently with your hands—don’t overmix.
-
Make the aioli: Let the onions cool slightly. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir in the caramelized onions. Taste and adjust seasoning.
-
Cook the beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef and cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon until browned and fully cooked.
-
Prep veggies: Wash and chop lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Shred cheese if not pre-grated.
-
Assemble: Start each bowl with greens, top with cooked beef, and arrange tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and pickles.
-
Finish & serve: Add a generous dollop of caramelized onion aioli, sprinkle cheddar and chives, and serve immediately.
Notes
-
You can make the caramelized onion aioli up to 3 days ahead and store it in the fridge.
Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Great for meal prep — just keep the aioli separate until serving.
