Description

Turkish Chicken with Creamy White Sauce is a rich, comforting one-pan dinner made with tender chicken, warm spices, and a silky herb-flecked cream sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights yet elegant enough for guests, this flavorful dish pairs beautifully with rice or warm bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.

  2. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until translucent.

  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Season chicken breasts with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper on both sides.

  5. Add chicken to the skillet and cook 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.

  6. Pour in heavy cream and gently stir to combine.

  7. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F).

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over rice or with crusty bread.

Notes

You can substitute turkey breast for chicken.

For a lighter option, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

For dairy-free, use full-fat coconut milk.

If chicken breasts are thick, slice them in half lengthwise for faster cooking.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
