Tender, juicy chicken marinated in The Best Greek Chicken Marinade, packed with lemon, garlic, and herbs. Perfect for grilling, meal prep, or a fresh, easy dinner!
Ingredients
For the Marinade:
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons
Zest of 1 lemon
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
For Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped
1–2 lemons, sliced (for grilling)
Instructions
Make the Marinade:
In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.Marinate the Chicken:
Place the chicken breasts into a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and coat well. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.Preheat and Grill:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard any remaining marinade. Grill the chicken for 6–8 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.Rest and Serve:
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley and grilled lemon slices. Enjoy!
Notes
If you’re short on time, marinating for even 30 minutes will still add flavor!
Fresh herbs can be used instead of dried for a more vibrant flavor.
This marinade also works wonderfully with chicken thighs or skewers!
