Description

This Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor! Tender chicken breasts are seared to golden perfection, then smothered in a savory honey butter sauce—all in one pan. It’s a quick, satisfying dinner that brings steakhouse vibes straight to your kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for added flavor)

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).

  2. Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook 5–6 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook another 5–6 minutes until internal temp reaches 165°F.

  3. Make the Butter Sauce:
While the chicken cooks, mix the softened butter and honey in a small bowl. Once chicken is done, reduce heat to low and add butter-honey mixture to the skillet.

  4. Coat and Serve:
Spoon the sauce over the chicken and let it coat for 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Try swapping chicken breasts for thighs for a juicier option.
Don’t skip patting the chicken dry—it helps with browning!
This dish pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.
You can double the butter sauce if you want extra for dipping or drizzling.
