Description
Seasoned Crispy Chicken Drumsticks baked in the oven for the perfect crunch—crispy skin, juicy meat, and bold flavor with simple spices.
Ingredients
2 lbs pasture-raised chicken drumsticks (about 10–12 pieces)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp paprika (smoked, if available)
½ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 420°F (215°C).
Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Place drumsticks in a large bowl. Make sure skin covers the meat and isn’t folded.
Toss with olive oil, then add all seasonings. Mix well until evenly coated.
Place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet and spray lightly with oil.
Arrange drumsticks on the rack in a single layer.
Bake for 35 minutes. Remove, flip each drumstick, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Drumsticks are done when golden, crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crispy skin, broil drumsticks for 2–3 minutes at the end (keep a close eye to avoid burning).
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F to crisp them back up.
Swap chili powder for onion powder if making it more kid-friendly.
