Ingredients
-
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
-
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
2 large eggs, room temperature
-
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
-
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
¾ cup white chocolate chips
-
¾ cup red and green holiday M&M’s
-
¼ cup holiday red and green sprinkles (jimmies)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
-
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
-
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined.
-
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, M&M’s, and holiday sprinkles.
-
Scoop the dough using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop and place dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
-
Bake for 11–13 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are soft.
-
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
Do not overbake; cookies will continue to set as they cool.
These cookies freeze well baked or as raw dough balls.
Swap almond extract for vanilla for a festive flavor twist.
