Description

These Pumpkin Patch Strawberries are the cutest fall-inspired treat! Fresh strawberries are dipped in smooth orange chocolate and arranged on a cookie crumb “dirt” base to look like tiny pumpkins. This fun, no-bake dessert is perfect for Halloween parties, fall gatherings, or an afternoon of festive family fun.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Strawberries:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (choose large, firm ones with bright green tops)

  • 12 oz orange candy melts (or white chocolate + orange food coloring)

  • 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)

For the “Dirt” Base (Optional):

  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed

  • 6 chocolate peanut butter cups or chocolate disks (optional, for texture)

For Decoration:

  • 23 tbsp of the melted orange chocolate (set aside for drizzling)

  • Piping bag or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Pat dry with paper towels and let them sit until completely moisture-free.

  2. Melt the Chocolate: Microwave orange candy melts (or white chocolate + orange coloring) in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed to thin.

  3. Dip the Strawberries: Hold each berry by its leafy top and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating evenly. Let excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined tray.

  4. Add the Pumpkin Ridges: Allow to set for 5–10 minutes. Pipe thin vertical lines of reserved chocolate down each berry to create “pumpkin” ridges.

  5. Create the Patch: Spread crushed cookies on a serving tray for a “dirt” base. Arrange strawberries on top, adding peanut butter cups or disks as stepping stones for extra flair.

Notes

Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping; any moisture will cause chocolate to seize.
If candy melts get too thick, microwave again for 10–15 seconds.
Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Optional: Add edible glitter or gold dust for a little fall sparkle!
