Description
Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites are crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and packed with savory flavor. This easy appetizer comes together quickly and is perfect for parties, holidays, or effortless entertaining.
Ingredients
-
16 small mozzarella balls (bocconcini), drained well
-
8 thin slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
½ teaspoon dried oregano
-
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
-
Pat the mozzarella balls dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
-
Wrap each mozzarella ball with half a slice of prosciutto, overlapping slightly to seal.
-
In a small skillet, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
-
Arrange the wrapped mozzarella bites on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
-
Brush each bite lightly with the seasoned olive oil.
-
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and lightly golden.
-
Let cool for 2–3 minutes, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Make sure the mozzarella is well drained to prevent excess moisture while baking.
Thin prosciutto works best for crisping quickly.
These are best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.
