Ingredients
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves (minced)
½ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Prep the Chicken:
Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.Bread the Chicken:
Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp). Set aside.Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter. Add garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth and lemon juice. Let simmer 2–3 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.Serve:
Pour garlic butter sauce over the cooked chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Use Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
To lighten the dish, you can reduce the butter slightly or swap the heavy cream for half-and-half.
