- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For Assembling:
- 4 pita pockets
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1–2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 medium cucumber, diced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ½–¾ cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Warm pita pockets in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes or microwave for 30 seconds until soft.
- Open each pita and fill with cooked ground beef.
- Top with lettuce, diced tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, and a generous drizzle of tzatziki sauce.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
