Ingredients
-
1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
-
6 slices beef bacon, cooked until crispy
-
1/2 cup (120 ml) pure maple syrup
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
12 slider buns
-
Fresh arugula or spinach (optional, for garnish)
Optional swaps: Use turkey instead of chicken or plant-based bacon for a lighter twist.
Instructions
-
Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add sliced chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
-
Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook beef bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels, reserving 1 tbsp of drippings in the skillet.
-
Cook the Chicken: Add marinated chicken to the skillet and cook 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and glazed. Make sure the chicken reaches 165°F internally.
-
Toast the Buns: Lightly toast slider buns in the skillet for extra flavor and crunch.
-
Assemble the Sliders: Layer chicken, bacon, and fresh arugula/spinach on the buns. Top with the other half of the bun.
-
Serve: Arrange on a platter, drizzle with extra maple syrup if desired, and enjoy warm.
Notes
-
These sliders pair perfectly with sweet potato fries or a crisp salad.
Marinate the chicken overnight for maximum flavor.
Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated at 350°F for 10 minutes.
