Description
Creamy, spicy, one-skillet comfort food made keto-style! This Cajun sausage cabbage “Alfredo” is rich, fast, and insanely satisfying.
Ingredients
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
14 oz Andouille sausage, sliced
-
6 tbsp butter, divided (2 tbsp + 4 tbsp)
-
1/2 onion, chopped
-
3 tsp Cajun seasoning
-
5 cups cabbage, chopped
-
1 cup heavy whipping cream
-
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Sear the sliced Andouille sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
-
Reduce heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp butter to the skillet.
-
Add onion and sauté until softened, about 2–3 minutes.
-
Add remaining 4 tbsp butter and the chopped cabbage.
-
Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning and stir to coat.
-
Pour in heavy whipping cream and stir until combined.
-
Cover and simmer 7–10 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
-
Remove lid and stir in Parmesan. Simmer 2–4 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
-
Return sausage to the skillet, stir, and serve hot.
Notes
Cajun seasoning varies by brand—start with 2 tsp if yours is salty or extra spicy, then adjust.
Sauce too thick? Add a small splash of cream or water. Too thin? Simmer uncovered a few minutes longer.
For extra flavor, finish with fresh parsley and a pinch of Cajun seasoning on top.
