-
2 teaspoons minced garlic
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon dried parsley
-
¾ teaspoon dried chives
-
¾ teaspoon dried dill weed
-
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon onion powder
-
1 cup heavy whipping cream
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
-
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
-
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch casserole dish.
-
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add broccoli, and blanch for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Spread broccoli evenly in the casserole dish.
-
In a bowl, toss chicken with parsley, chives, dill, garlic powder, and onion powder.
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until fully done.
-
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer chicken to the casserole dish.
-
Reduce heat to medium and pour heavy cream into the same skillet, scraping up browned bits.
-
Simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened, then stir in ½ cup cheddar cheese and mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper.
-
Pour cheese sauce over chicken and broccoli, tossing gently to coat.
-
Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top, followed by bacon and Parmesan.
-
Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
-
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can replace the dried herbs and spices with 1 heaping tablespoon ranch seasoning mix for extra flavor.
For best texture, avoid overcooking the broccoli before baking.
