1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Heat a skillet over medium-high and sauté sliced smoked sausage for 5–7 minutes until browned. Set aside.

In a medium pot, melt butter over medium heat.

Add diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes, until soft and translucent.

Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add softened cream cheese and stir until melted.

Slowly pour in heavy whipping cream, whisking until smooth. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.

Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cauliflower, and sausage. Pour cheese sauce over the mixture and toss to coat.

Transfer to a 9×9 baking dish and bake for 15–20 minutes, until bubbling and golden.
