Description

Jalapeno Peach Chicken Skewers are sweet, spicy, and irresistibly juicy. Tender chicken, fresh peaches, and jalapeños are air-fried to perfection and brushed with a glossy peach glaze. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners, summer gatherings, or when you want big flavor with minimal effort.

  • 15 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Skewer Add-Ins

  • 4 yellow peaches, quartered then halved (about 32 pieces)
  • 3 medium jalapeño peppers, halved, seeded, cut into chunks

Peach Glaze

  • ½ cup peach preserves
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, toss chicken with salt, pepper, chili powder, and olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. Assemble skewers by threading peach, chicken, jalapeño, chicken, jalapeño, chicken, and peach. Repeat until ingredients are used.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Lightly brush skewers with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
  7. Air fry for 11–12 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. While skewers cook, combine all glaze ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and warmed through.
  9. Brush cooked skewers generously with warm peach glaze.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • For less heat, remove all jalapeño seeds and membranes.
  • For extra spice, leave some seeds or increase red pepper flakes.
  • Chicken thighs can be substituted for chicken breasts.
  • These skewers can also be grilled over medium heat until chicken reaches 165°F.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
