Description

These Havarti Cranberry Turkey Sliders are the ultimate sweet and savory comfort food. Juicy sliced turkey, creamy Havarti cheese, and tangy cranberry sauce are layered on buttery Hawaiian rolls, then brushed with a rich poppy seed butter sauce and baked until perfectly golden. They’re easy, delicious, and ideal for holidays, game days, or quick family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls (or dinner rolls)

  • 12 ounces sliced deli turkey or thinly sliced leftover turkey

  • 8 ounces sliced Havarti cheese

  • ½ cup cranberry sauce

For the Butter Sauce:

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Without separating the rolls, slice them in half horizontally to create one top and one bottom layer.

  3. Layer the bottom half of the rolls into the baking dish.

  4. Add half of the Havarti slices, then layer on the turkey slices evenly.

  5. Spread the cranberry sauce over the turkey, then top with the remaining Havarti.

  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.

  7. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, Dijon mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar until well combined.

  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops and sides of the rolls.

  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through.

  10. Remove the foil and bake another 5–7 minutes until the tops are lightly golden and crisp.

  11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

  • Leftover turkey tip: Perfect for post-Thanksgiving leftovers — just slice it thin!
Cheese swap: You can substitute Havarti with Swiss, provolone, or brie.
Cranberry sauce: Use homemade or store-bought — both work beautifully.
Make ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate. Brush with butter and bake when ready to serve.
