Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
9–12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
15 oz ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
Cook noodles: Boil lasagna noodles in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
Cook shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Make sauce: Add chicken broth and simmer. Stir in heavy cream and cook 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add lemon: Stir in lemon zest and juice. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Combine shrimp with sauce: Return shrimp to skillet and coat in sauce.
Assemble lasagna: In a 9×13-inch dish, spread a thin layer of sauce, then layer noodles, ricotta, shrimp sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers, ending with noodles, sauce, and mozzarella on top.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake 25–30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5–10 minutes until golden.
Serve: Rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and enjoy warm.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp—they’ll finish cooking in the oven.
Fresh lemon juice gives the best flavor.
