Description

Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are the ultimate weeknight win—juicy beef simmered in smoky BBQ, sweet honey, and garlic butter, then drizzled with a creamy taco sauce. Quick, flavorful, and family-approved!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef strips

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ⅓ cup BBQ sauce

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Taco Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

For Assembly:

  • 6 soft taco tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic in butter: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t let it burn!).

  2. Cook beef: Add beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

  3. Flavor the beef: Stir in honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 minutes to thicken.

  4. Mix taco sauce: In a small bowl, whisk mayo, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika until smooth.

  5. Assemble tacos: Warm tortillas, fill with beef mixture, drizzle taco sauce, sprinkle cheddar, and top with cilantro. Serve immediately.

Notes

Swap ground beef for chicken or turkey for a lighter version.
Toast tortillas over an open flame for extra smoky flavor.
Store leftover beef and sauce separately in airtight containers for up to 3 days.
