Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons butter, softened
-
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
-
4 slices bread
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until smooth.
-
Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
-
Place two slices butter-side down on a cutting board or skillet.
-
Sprinkle half of the cheese on each slice.
-
Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
-
Heat a skillet over low heat and cook for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
-
Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 4–5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
-
Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
Cook on low heat so the cheese melts before the bread browns too much.
Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt.
Great served with tomato soup or a simple salad.
