Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
-
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
-
1 cup sour cream
-
1/2 cup chicken broth
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot. Season with salt and pepper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until smooth.
-
Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken.
-
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
-
Shred or serve whole, spooning plenty of sauce over the top.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
Notes
-
Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts for extra tenderness.
-
The sauce thickens as it cools—perfect for leftovers.
-
Add a tablespoon of butter before cooking for an even richer flavor.
-
For a bit of heat, stir in crushed red pepper or diced jalapeños.
