Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
2 cups marinara sauce
-
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
-
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
-
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
-
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
-
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, covering it completely.
-
Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
-
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
-
About 15 minutes before serving, top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover again to melt the cheese.
-
Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve with pasta, garlic bread, or a side salad.
Notes
Want a crispy topping? Transfer to a baking dish, broil for 2-3 minutes after adding cheese.
Great for meal prep—leftovers stay delicious up to 3 days in the fridge.
Use boneless thighs instead of breasts for a juicier version.
Add more marinara if you love extra saucy dishes!
