Ingredients
For the Salmon Bites:
1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lime juice
For Garnish:
Chopped parsley, green onions, or sesame seeds
Lime wedges (optional)
Instructions
Prep the Salmon:
Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture ensures crispiness.
Place salmon pieces in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne. Toss until evenly coated.
Make Bang Bang Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth. Taste and adjust spice or sweetness as desired.
Cook the Salmon:
Pan-sear method: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook salmon pieces for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Baking method: Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
Air-fryer method: Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Arrange salmon in a single layer and cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway.
Sauce the Salmon:
Either drizzle Bang Bang sauce over salmon pieces on a serving platter or place cooked salmon in a bowl and toss gently with sauce until coated.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve with lime wedges. Enjoy warm with rice, salad, or veggies!
Notes
For milder heat, reduce or omit sriracha.
This sauce is fabulous as a dip for shrimp, chicken, or veggies.
Don’t overcook salmon—it should remain tender and juicy inside.
