Description

This Creamy Ranch Chicken Crock Pot recipe is your go-to for a cozy, flavorful, no-fuss dinner. Juicy chicken breasts slow-cooked in a rich ranch-seasoned cream sauce—perfect for busy weeknights and picky eaters alike!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for garnish)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Optional: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken breasts for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.

  2. In the crock pot, mix together cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  3. Place chicken breasts in the sauce and coat evenly.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender and cooked through.

  5. Shred the chicken directly in the crock pot using two forks and stir into the sauce.

  6. Add sour cream and mix until smooth and creamy.

  7. Top with cheddar cheese and parsley if desired. Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Notes

Searing the chicken first adds extra flavor but can be skipped for quicker prep.
Great with mashed potatoes, pasta, or served as sandwich filling.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and can be frozen in airtight containers.
