Description
This Creamy Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet is a quick, one-pan dinner bursting with bold, tangy flavor. Tender chicken breasts simmer in a rich garlic cream sauce with zesty pepperoncini peppers and herbs—perfect for weeknights or impressing dinner guests without breaking a sweat.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions and minced garlic for about 3 minutes until softened.
Add sliced pepperoncini peppers and cook for another 2 minutes.
Pour in chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Swap chicken breasts for thighs if you prefer darker meat.
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Delicious served over mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread!
Adjust spice level by using mild or hot pepperoncinis.
