Description

This Creamy Million Dollar Chicken Casserole is the ultimate comfort food—rich, cheesy, and topped with a golden, buttery cracker crust. Perfect for busy weeknights, family dinners, or make-ahead meals, this recipe delivers cozy flavor in every bite with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cheddar cheese soup

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, stir together cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and add them to the mixture. Stir until chicken is well coated.

  5. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.

  6. In a small bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.

  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.

  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For quicker prep, use shredded rotisserie chicken and reduce bake time by 10 minutes.

  • Add frozen veggies like peas or broccoli for a complete one-dish meal.

  • This casserole reheats beautifully and is freezer-friendly before baking (add topping later for best texture).
