Creamy Dijon Chicken is a rich, comforting one-skillet dinner made with tender chicken breasts, spinach, and a luscious mustard cream sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
-
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (filleted into 4 cutlets)
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tbsp butter
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
¾ cup chicken broth
-
1½ tbsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
2 cups fresh spinach
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
-
Season both sides of the chicken cutlets evenly.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
-
Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and garlic to the same skillet; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Pour in the chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and scrape up browned bits from the bottom.
-
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
-
Add spinach and stir until wilted.
-
Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Let it heat through for 2–3 minutes.
-
Serve hot with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts if preferred.
Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for an extra twist.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of broth or cream.
