Description

Creamy Dijon Chicken is a rich, comforting one-skillet dinner made with tender chicken breasts, spinach, and a luscious mustard cream sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (filleted into 4 cutlets)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¾ cup chicken broth

  • 1½ tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups fresh spinach

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Season both sides of the chicken cutlets evenly.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and garlic to the same skillet; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Pour in the chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and scrape up browned bits from the bottom.

  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

  7. Add spinach and stir until wilted.

  8. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Let it heat through for 2–3 minutes.

  9. Serve hot with your favorite side dish and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts if preferred.
Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for an extra twist.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of broth or cream.
