Creamy Boursin Chicken Pasta is the ultimate weeknight comfort food. Juicy chicken, penne pasta, and a rich garlic herb cheese sauce come together in just 30 minutes for a cozy, family-approved dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts or thighs – boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 cloves garlic – freshly minced
1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin cheese – Garlic & Herb flavor recommended
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
12 oz pasta – penne, rigatoni, or fettuccine
Fresh parsley – chopped, for garnish
Optional Add-Ons:
1 cup spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or mushrooms
A pinch of red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
Cook the Chicken – Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked (6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
Boil the Pasta – Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
Make the Sauce – In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute. Lower heat, then stir in Boursin cheese and heavy cream until smooth. Add chicken broth to thin sauce as needed.
Combine – Return chicken to skillet, then add pasta. Toss everything until well coated. Adjust consistency with pasta water if needed.
Serve – Garnish with parsley and enjoy hot with garlic bread or salad.
Notes
Use room-temperature Boursin for easier melting.
If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually.
Leftovers reheat well with a splash of milk or broth.
Customize with veggies or spice for extra flavor.
