Description

These Crack Green Beans are sweet, savory, and completely addictive! Smothered in a buttery brown sugar glaze with soy, garlic, and crispy bacon, this easy baked side dish turns simple canned green beans into something unforgettable. Perfect for holidays, weeknights, or potlucks — everyone will be begging for seconds!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cans cut green beans, drained

  • ¾ cup butter, melted

  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic, minced

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and add the drained green beans.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic.

  4. Sprinkle chopped bacon evenly over the green beans.

  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the top, coating the beans well.

  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and slightly caramelized.

  7. Serve warm and watch them disappear in minutes!

Notes

For extra crispy bacon, reserve a few pieces to sprinkle on top after baking.
You can make this dish ahead of time — just cover and refrigerate before baking, then cook when ready to serve.
Fresh or frozen green beans can also be used; just blanch them for 3–4 minutes first.
