Description
This Christmas Tree Cold Veggie Pizza is a fun, festive holiday appetizer made with crescent dough, creamy hummus, and colorful fresh vegetables. Easy to prepare, kid-friendly, and perfect for Christmas parties, potlucks, or school events.
Ingredients
-
8 ounces refrigerated crescent dough sheet
-
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for rolling)
-
1 cup hummus (plain or flavored)
-
2 cups finely chopped fresh vegetables (broccoli, carrots, bell peppers recommended)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Lightly flour a clean work surface and unroll the crescent dough. Gently roll it into an even sheet.
-
Use a Christmas tree–shaped cookie cutter to cut out tree shapes. Re-roll scraps as needed.
-
Transfer the dough trees to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
-
Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack. Let cool completely.
-
Finely chop the vegetables and mix them together for a colorful topping.
-
Spread about 1 heaping teaspoon of hummus onto each cooled tree crust.
-
Sprinkle chopped vegetables on top, pressing gently to help them stick.
-
Loosely cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Let the crusts cool fully before adding hummus to prevent sogginess.
Use flavored hummus like roasted garlic or red pepper for extra flavor.
Chop vegetables finely for better texture and presentation.
These can be assembled a few hours ahead and kept chilled until serving.
