- 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls, toasted
- 4 slices of provolone or American cheese (or Cheez Whiz)
- Optional: mushrooms, jalapeños, arugula
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken : In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken strips and let them marinate for at least 2 hours (or overnight).
- Cook the Chicken : Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked through (about 5 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Vegetables : In the same skillet, add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and caramelized (about 8–10 minutes).
- Assemble the Sandwich : Place a toasted hoagie roll on a plate. Layer with cooked chicken, sautéed veggies, and melted cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy!
