Description
This juicy and flavorful Chicken Kebab Recipe is marinated in yogurt, lemon, and spices, then grilled to perfection. It’s the perfect quick and easy dish for family dinners, backyard BBQs, or meal prepping with bold Mediterranean vibes.
Ingredients
1 kg chicken thighs, boneless and skinless, cut lengthways
For the marinade:150 g natural yogurt
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp dried chili flakes
2 tsp garlic granules (or 3 fresh garlic cloves, minced)
1 lemon, zest and juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, chili flakes, garlic, lemon zest and juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Add the sliced chicken thighs and coat them thoroughly with the marinade.
Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
Grill or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
Serve hot with rice, pita, or fresh salad!
Notes
Chicken breasts can be used instead of thighs—just reduce cooking time slightly.
These kebabs are great for meal prep and reheat well.
Serve with homemade tzatziki or garlic yogurt sauce for a refreshing twist.
