2 cups whole milk
-
1 (14.5 oz) can chicken broth
-
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
-
Garlic powder (to taste)
-
Onion powder (to taste)
-
Black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
-
Pour melted butter evenly into the bottom of the dish.
-
Spread shredded chicken in a single layer over the butter.
-
Distribute frozen mixed vegetables evenly over the chicken.
-
Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to taste.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix, and seasoning packet. Pour over the chicken and veggies. Do not stir.
-
In the same bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup and chicken broth. Pour over the biscuit mix layer. Do not stir.
-
Bake uncovered on the center rack for 55–65 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
-
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
Notes
Don’t stir the layers—this creates the delicious cobbler-like texture.
You can substitute fresh veggies, just ensure they’re finely chopped.
Add shredded cheddar cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking for extra gooey goodness.
