    • 1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping) 🍅
  • Topping:

    • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
    • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:

    • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Combine with dry ingredients and olive oil; knead for 8-10 minutes. Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours.
  • Prepare the Filling:

    • Mix shredded chicken, cheeses, spinach, and seasonings in a bowl.
  • Assemble the Calzone:

    • Roll out dough into 4 circles. Add marinara sauce and filling to one half; fold and seal.
  • Bake:

    • Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with Parmesan and seasoning, and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes.
