Description

These Cherry Bourbon Extract Balls are rich, chocolatey, and bursting with sweet cherry flavor. A no-bake treat that feels festive, indulgent, and perfect for gifting or holiday dessert tables.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup bourbon

  • 2 tbsp cherry extract

  • 2 tbsp corn syrup

  • Maraschino cherries, whole

  • 10 oz melted chocolate for dipping


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, pecans, and cocoa powder.

  2. Stir in bourbon, cherry extract, and corn syrup until the mixture forms a thick dough.

  3. Scoop and roll into small balls, pressing a maraschino cherry into the center of each.

  4. Freeze balls for 10–15 minutes to firm up.

  5. Dip chilled balls into melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.

  6. Place on parchment paper and let set before serving.

Notes

These store beautifully in the fridge for up to a week and taste even better the next day as the flavors blend. You can also swap bourbon for apple juice for a kid-friendly version.
