Description

A crunchy, creamy California BLT Chopped Bagel made with bacon, romaine, tomato, chive & onion cream cheese, and avocado—fast, filling, and seriously craveable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 everything bagel

  • 2 ounces chive and onion cream cheese, softened

  • 3 slices bacon, cooked until crisp

  • 2 leaves romaine lettuce

  • 1 slice tomato

  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1/4 avocado, diced

Instructions

  1. Toast the bagel until golden, about 3 minutes.

  2. On a cutting board, spread the cream cheese slightly. Add bacon, romaine, and tomato. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Chop until chunky and well mixed. Add avocado and chop 5–7 more times.

  4. Gather the mixture and spread it onto the bottom half of the toasted bagel. Add the top half and serve right away.

Notes

No chive & onion cream cheese? Use plain and add a pinch of garlic powder or chopped green onion.

Pat the tomato dry if it’s extra juicy to keep the bagel from getting soggy.

Best eaten fresh. If needed, store the chopped filling (without the bagel) up to 1 day in the fridge.
