Ingredients

Scale

For the Protein:

  • 200g ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Pasta:

  • 300g fettuccine or penne pasta

  • Salt (for pasta water)

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Red pepper flakes

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water. Set aside.

  2. Season & Cook the Steak

    • Toss steak slices with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.

    • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.

  3. Cook the Shrimp

    • Toss shrimp with remaining Cajun seasoning.

    • Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes, flipping once, until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. Make the Alfredo Sauce

    • Lower heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

    • Gradually stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  5. Combine & Serve

    • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.

    • Gently fold in steak and shrimp.

    • Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste. Some brands are spicier than others!
Substitute chicken for steak or shrimp if preferred.
Leftovers store well for up to 2 days in the fridge. Reheat gently with a splash of cream.
