This Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak is the ultimate flavor-packed sandwich! Tender chicken in tangy Buffalo sauce, topped with melty mozzarella and creamy ranch or blue cheese dressing—perfect for weeknights, game day, or whenever you’re craving bold comfort food.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
1/2 cup Buffalo sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 hoagie rolls
1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing (optional, for drizzling)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, toss thinly sliced chicken with Buffalo sauce. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
Cook the Veggies: In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and peppers, sauté for 4–5 minutes until soft. Remove from skillet.
Cook the Chicken: Add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the same skillet. Cook marinated chicken for 5–7 minutes, until fully cooked and slightly crisp on the edges. Season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Sandwiches: Preheat broiler. Slice hoagie rolls and place on a baking sheet. Fill each with cooked chicken, then top with sautéed veggies.
Add Cheese & Broil: Sprinkle mozzarella over each sandwich. Broil for 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Finish & Serve: Drizzle with extra Buffalo sauce and dressing if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve hot!
Notes
Swap mozzarella for provolone or pepper jack for a cheesier kick.
