Description
Creamy, comforting, and quick to make, this Boursin Orzo with Chicken is a one-pan dinner packed with garlic herb flavor, spinach, and juicy chicken. Perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup orzo pasta
2 cups chicken broth
½ cup heavy cream
1 package (5.2 oz) Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor)
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, toast orzo for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add chicken broth, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes until orzo is tender.
Lower heat and stir in heavy cream and Boursin cheese until smooth and creamy.
Stir in chopped spinach and cook until wilted, 1–2 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet to warm through. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
To speed up cooking, slice thick chicken breasts in half.
Add sun-dried tomatoes or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
Use a splash of broth when reheating leftovers to maintain creaminess.
