Description

These BBQ Chicken Coleslaw Wraps are the perfect blend of smoky, tangy, and crunchy. Loaded with shredded chicken, fresh coleslaw, and rich BBQ sauce, they’re quick to prep and easy to love. Ideal for busy weeknights or a light, satisfying lunch!

Ingredients

Scale

For the BBQ Chicken:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

For the Coleslaw:

  • 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded

  • 1 cup carrots, grated

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt as a lighter option)

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Wrap Base:

  • 4 large tortillas (flour or corn)

Optional Add-ons:

  • 1 cup diced bell peppers

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

  • Sliced avocado

  • Shredded cheddar or crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken:
Shred the cooked chicken and heat in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of oil. Stir in BBQ sauce and let it simmer for 3–5 minutes to absorb flavor.

  2. Make the Coleslaw:
In a large bowl, mix shredded cabbage and grated carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayo, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Let it sit for 10 minutes to enhance the crunch and flavor.

  3. Assemble the Wraps:
Warm tortillas slightly. Spoon BBQ chicken into the center, top with a generous heap of coleslaw, and add any optional toppings. Fold in sides, roll up tightly, and slice if desired.

Notes

Use pre-made coleslaw mix to save time.
Don’t skip the rest time for the slaw—it makes a big difference in flavor!
Wraps are best assembled fresh to avoid sogginess.
Store components separately for meal prep and assemble before eating.
Customize spice level with hot sauce or spicy BBQ sauce
