Ingredients
For the Bundles
-
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
-
8–10 slices bacon, cut in half
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon pepper
Optional Glaze
-
2 tablespoons brown sugar
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Wash and trim green beans. Optional: Blanch beans for 2–3 minutes, then place in an ice bath and drain.
-
Gather 6–8 beans into small bundles. Wrap each with ½ slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
-
Place bundles on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
-
If using the glaze, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, and black pepper, then drizzle it over the bundles.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until bacon is crispy and beans are tender. Broil the last 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
-
Let cool briefly, then serve warm as a side dish or appetizer.
Notes
-
Thin-cut bacon works best—cooks faster and crisps beautifully.
-
Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated until baking.
-
To keep beans vibrant, blanching is recommended but optional.
