  • 1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the pineapple:
    Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips. Remove the eyes with a small knife and cut into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Season:
    In a mixing bowl, toss pineapple chunks with oil, cinnamon (if using), honey or maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer:
    Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  4. Air fry:
    Arrange pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown with caramelized edges.
  5. Serve:
    Carefully remove and serve warm on their own or with vanilla ice cream.

  • Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed for crisp edges.
