Description
Air Fryer Pineapple Chunks are golden, caramelized, and irresistibly juicy with crisp edges and warm cinnamon-honey flavor. This quick 10-minute recipe makes the perfect sweet snack, light dessert, or tropical side dish—no oven required.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prep the pineapple:
Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips. Remove the eyes with a small knife and cut into 1-inch chunks. - Season:
In a mixing bowl, toss pineapple chunks with oil, cinnamon (if using), honey or maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt until evenly coated. - Preheat air fryer:
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes. - Air fry:
Arrange pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown with caramelized edges. - Serve:
Carefully remove and serve warm on their own or with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed for crisp edges.
- Fresh pineapple works best for caramelization.
- If using canned pineapple, drain and pat dry thoroughly.
- Best served warm, but leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
- Reheat at 350°F for 2–3 minutes in the air fryer.
